Solent Boat Training Offer Motorboat Marina Skills & Experience Days from our Southampton Based RYA Training Centre.
If you are looking to improve your handling skills within the Marina environment or are looking to brush away those cobwebs prior to their Mediterranean Holiday away, then this event may be perfect for you.Areas covered include:-
General Berthing and Coming Alongside
Springing On & Off in various states of Wind and Tide
Turns in Confined Spaces
Reversing into a Berth
Crew Management & Encouragement
The course runs from from 9.00am to 4.30pm and costs from £299 per person, season dependant.
For these Skills days, we will provide you with one of our experienced RYA Motor Yacht Cruising Instructors and our Twin Engine Rodman 1040, to help hone your own Marina Skills & improve your confidence.
In addition, you will be acting as crew for each other throughout the day, allowing you time to observe and learn from each other. This allows each Skipper to practice their crew management, a key skill required of a competent Skipper.
The day runs from 9:00am to 4:30pm, please bring a packed lunch.
Required experience to attend this course is to at least the level of RYA Motorboat Helmsman and above or those who have completed the RYA Powerboat Advanced course and are looking to move into the Motor Yacht Scheme.
