Bareboat Yacht Charter In The Solent
With the freedom to navigate the comparatively sheltered waters of the Solent, Skippers can enjoy visiting the many sights that the iconic Solent can offer. Sailing the Solent is without doubt, one of the best ways to see and visit the various ports, harbours and beautiful coastlines, including the Isle of Wight, along the South of England.
With so many places to visit and with most Ports and Marinas offering good facilities and amenities, along with pubs and shops near by, you should find something for everyone during your charter. Anchorage and mooring options for lunch stops and visits are also plentiful, ensuring you can maximise your sailing experience.
'Gallifrey' is fully fitted for a weeks sailing, from pots and pans, crockery and cutlery along with a variety of cooking facilities, including a gas cooker and twin ring hob. In addition, with safety equipment, including, liferaft, lifejackets and life saving equipment to met MCA standards, all you need to bring is you bedding, food, drink and a crew to share it with.
During your handover, you and your crew will be given a full and in depth brief, ensuring you are conversant with the location of equipment, its use, as well as advice on where to visit during your charter.

Charter Handover and Return Times:
(1) Weekend Handover - 4pm - 6pm Friday
(2) Weekend Return - 8am Monday
(1) Mid-Week Handover - 4pm - 6pm Monday
(2) Mid-Week Return - 8am Friday
Insurance
We would advise Charter customers ensure they have suitable holiday insurance in place, prior to booking. This should cover your costs and/or losses due to cancellation or loss of personal property. We do not offer personal insurance, but there are many to choose from on the market.
Terms
* Please Contact Us for details of Qualification Requirements prior to Booking. The Skipper Must hold the RYA Day Skipper Practical (Sail) Certificate or above (Gained within UK Tidal Waters) and Must have at least one Crew member who holds the RYA Competent Crew (Sail) Certificate.
** All Charters are restricted to the the Categorised Waters of the Solent. (You will be briefed of the limitations of the Solent during your handover). If you require further details, please contact us prior to your booking, to avoid disappointment.
(1) Handovers are to take place during the hours shown. Any late or delayed handovers will incur a £20 per hour charge up to 10pm. (Due to Marina Security and Access limitations, there will be no access to the vessel after these timings. In this instance the handover will take place at 8am on the following day).
(2) Return time is 8am as shown above. A charge of £50 per hour will be charged for any late return, without prior agreement.
