Tim was a great instructor, he was always very helpful and informative whilst also being fun and kind. As someone who had never been on a sailing boat before, Tim teaching gave me great confidence and new skills. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested.

Attended the 1 day shore based SBT Petrol Outboard Maintenance Course. Great location, facilities, materials and props. Trainer was friendly and very knowledgeable. Good mix of theory and practical. Great value for money too.

I took the competent crew course here and it was brilliant. I learned so much every day. Our instructor, Tim, was always calm, collected, knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging, He always kept the crew safe while teaching us. He made time to answer our endless stream of questions and to offer advice. Thank you very much, Tim. The comp crew course at SBT is worth every penny for novice crew and complete beginners. On top of that, Tim helped to tailor the course to the crew's pursuits from the very start. Bring a notepad, and a camera to help remember everything!

We have just completed our two-day Level 2 Powerboat course at Solent Boat Training. I had expected the experience to be a good one, but it exceeded my expectations. Alex was great; knowledgeable, skilled, and good company. Despite some filthy weather we really enjoyed ourselves, and learnt a lot!

Thank you for a great weekend of boating and learning! I did the Powerboat 2 course and it was excellent. We had Sean as our instructor and he was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great mix of practical and classroom learning, with the focus being getting hands on experience. Would definitely recommend!

We did the Marina skills course with Dom who was brilliant. He is a great teacher, informative, patient and able to get the best from the students and give them confidence. The course was excellent and covered all the techniques required for close quarter maneuvers. We all had our turn and learned both from our practice and from watching others. There are only 4 students per course which gives plenty of time for practice and discussion. Highly recommended course for anyone needing improving their skills.

I recently completed the Level 2 Power Boat training course. I honestly couldn't fault it from start to finish and would strongly recommend it. I did it to help get the ICC but TBH it was a fun and informative couple of days. The course covered a broad range of topics, was fun whilst getting the message across and a great balance of classroom vs. on the water. The kit/boat was quality. My instructor (sorry forget his name) was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional etc. It's surprising how much you learn and I will certainly feel safer on the water on holiday in a more powerful boat than previous years. The small group sizes help to get the most of the 2 days. Thanks again
